
Yesterday morning, the Heyuan Zijin-Huizhou Huiyang section of the Heyuan Expressway project started construction mobilization meeting was held on the south side of the A ramp of the Zijin West Interchange of Shanzhan Expressway in Zijin County, Heyuan City, marking the official entry of the Heyuan Zijin-Huizhou Huiyang section of the Heyuan Expressway into the construction stage. The Heyuan Zijin-Huizhou Huiyang section of the Heyuan-Huiguan Expressway is one of the key construction projects in Guangdong Province's "13th Five-Year Plan". It is an important part of the encrypted link line "Heyuan Longchuan (Guangdong-Jiangxi border) to Guangzhou Panyu" in the "Guangdong Expressway Network Planning (2013-2030) ". The Longchuan-Zijin section of the Heyuan-Huiguan Expressway in the north leads to Jiangxi, and the Nanlian-Huiguan Expressway Huizhou Pingtan-Tonghu section, the Guanfan Expressway, and the Humen Second Bridge to the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary form a new expressway in the Pearl River Delta region to northeast Guangdong and central Jiangxi Province. It is an important part of the Guangdong Expressway Network and the comprehensive transportation system of Heyuan and Huizhou City. The project starts from Waxi Town, Zijin County, Heyuan City, and is connected to Jiebo Section of Shanzhan Expressway. The route is generally northeast-southwest, passing through Waxi, Jiuhe, Lantang, Feng'an, Haoyi Town, Zijin County, Hengli Town, Huicheng District, Huizhou City, Pingtan Town, Huiyang District, and finally near Li Gang, Pingtan Town, connected with the Pingtan to Tonghu Section of Hehuiguan Expressway. The total length of the route is 75.8 kilometers, of which the Heyuan Section is 46.783 kilometers long and the Huizhou Section is 29.053 kilometers long. The whole line adopts the technical standard of two-way six-lane expressway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The width of the roadbed is 33.5 meters. There are 7 interchanges, 1 service area, 1 management center, 2 maintenance work areas, and 6 toll stations. The total investment of the project is estimated to be 9.114 billion yuan, and it is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in 2020. The project is another north-south main road from Huizhou to Jiangxi, an important supply-side project for Huizhou to achieve poverty alleviation and development in the Northeast area, and an important docking project between Shenguanhui + Heyuan and Shanwei.
