Incorporating culture into design to drive innovation through design
On November 13, 2013, Decoration Co., Ltd. and the School of Government Management of Peking University hosted the "Culture and Design" theme design salon. The salon was held in the Liao Kaiyuan Building of the School of Government Management of Peking University, which has a strong cultural atmosphere. It aims to integrate Eastern and Western cultures, locate and discuss cultural elements in architectural decoration design, so that architectural decoration can better reflect the cultural connotation and the color of the times, beautify life and the environment, and thus promote the innovation and development of the architectural decoration industry.
The president of the Building Decoration Association attended the salon in person, and the executive chairperson of the Design Committee of the Building Decoration Association delivered a warm speech. Mr. Lou Yulie, a famous philosopher and master of Chinese studies in our country, and Mr. Li Bingdi, director of the Village and Town Construction Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Construction and professor-level senior urban planner, gave wonderful speeches on "The artistic spirit of Chinese culture" and "Taking the road of new urbanization and promoting urban-rural integration planning" respectively. More than 30 architectural decoration industry enterprise design elites participated in the theme salon.
The executive deputy general manager of Decoration Co., Ltd. said in his speech as the representative of the organizer: In the next ten years, China's building decoration industry will surely realize the transformation from traditional industries to high-tech industries. This transformation is not only the integration of strength and the reshuffle of the industry, but also a contest with "technological innovation" as the core.
