In addition, many titanium dioxide manufacturers that provide raw materials for the coating industry have also been included in the key supervision list.
The relevant person in charge of the Sichuan Provincial Environmental Protection Department told reporters that the composition of solvent-based paints and glue-containing paints is very complex, containing many organic compounds, which can release a large amount of harmful gases. For example, solvent-based paints contain a large amount of volatile organic matter, which is an important source of air pollution. And glue-containing paints themselves contain a lot of formaldehyde and various heavy metals such as lead, mercury, manganese and arsenic, which will cause direct harm to the health of the population.
