Shenzhen Radio, Film and Television Group was officially established on June 28, 2004 (English abbreviation: SZMG = ShenZhenMediaGroup). The group is based on assets and business as a link, with Shenzhen TV Station, Shenzhen Radio Station, Shenzhen Film Studio, Shenzhen Radio and Television Transmission Center and other units as the main body. On October 9, 2007, the group signed contracts with Baoan, Longgang, Yantian, Guangming and Shekou respectively for the establishment of internet companies (reporter stations), marking the basic completion of the city's cable TV network integration.

At present, the Group owns 11 TV channels and 4 sets of broadcast frequencies (including 1 satellite TV channel, 1 mobile TV channel, 1 DV pay channel, 1 shopping channel, 7 terrestrial TV channels and news frequencies, music frequencies, traffic frequencies, live frequencies), and has established more than 20 industrial enterprises such as Advertising Corporation, Tianwei Video Joint Stock Company, Tianbao Radio and Television Network Co., Ltd., Tianlong Radio and Television Network Co., Ltd., Cultural Industry (International) Exhibition Co., Ltd., Mobile Video Co., Ltd., Film Studio, etc., with total assets exceeding 7 billion yuan.
