(1) Implement the principles, policies, laws and regulations of the Party and the state; study and formulate strategies, policies and measures for the reform and development of the system and organize their implementation; be responsible for the macro-management and industry guidance of directly affiliated institutions.
(2) Organize and implement national and provincial land and resources surveys to provide resource information for the planning, management, protection and rational utilization of mineral resources in the province. Establish a capable basic and public welfare geological exploration team to provide resource reserves and geological services for the economic construction and social development of Anhui Province.
(3) Responsible for formulating overall geological exploration plans and plans, organizing geological exploration units under the Bureau to carry out geological surveys, mineral exploration, hydrogeology, engineering geology, environmental geology, disaster geology, agricultural geology, tourism geology, urban geology, mineral development and mining rights management activities, and organizing and carrying out the Bureau's geological scientific research and technological development.
(4) Responsible for the operation and management of the overall state-owned assets, the development of diversified operations, and the supervision of the overall preservation and appreciation of state-owned assets.
(5) To be responsible for arranging and managing the geological exploration fees and other funds issued by the provincial finance, and to supervise and inspect the use of them.
(6) Supervise and manage the overall safety production and quality management work.
(7) Responsible for the construction of the leadership team of the bureau-affiliated units; the cadres, personnel, labor, wages, training and social insurance of the administration system.
(8) Responsible for the overall party building, discipline inspection, ideological and political work and spiritual civilization construction, and comprehensive management of social order; responsible for the work of trade unions and the Communist Youth League in the bureau system.
(9) To undertake other tasks assigned by the provincial government.
