Academician comments

Recently, the China Geological Survey organized experts in Beijing, Hefei and other places to review and accept the "China Mineral Geology: Anhui Volume" (referred to as "Anhui Volume", the same below) and its accompanying drawings through a combination of on-site and video conferencing. 13 academicians and experts including Chang Yinfo, Chen Yuchuan, Zhu Yusheng, Guo Kunyi, Wang Bingquan, Li Jijiang, the Provincial Department of Natural Resources, the Provincial Geology and Mineral Bureau, the Provincial Chronicle Compilation Committee and the Provincial Project Office attended the review meeting. Shi Shenyi, a member of the Party Committee of the Bureau and Deputy Director of the Bureau, attended the review meeting and delivered a speech.

Shi Shenyi pointed out at the meeting that "Anhui Volume" records the course of the search for mineral resources in Anhui Province, reflects the important position of mineral resources in the national economy of Anhui Province, and highlights the "three glories" spirit of the geological and mineral industry in Anhui Province. It is our precious spiritual wealth and has an important guiding role for the future prospecting work of our province.

Academician Chen Yuchuan gave high praise to the "Anhui Volume", pointing out that the compilation of the chronicle is very difficult, the compilation staff is loyal to the historical facts, after many rounds of review and revision and improvement, the overall evaluation of the quality of the experts is very high, and believes that the historical data of the chronicle is clear, the categories are complete, the description is complete, and the achievements of mineral resources in Anhui Province are faithfully recorded. I hope that the members of the "Anhui Volume" writing team will continue to work hard, and look forward to the popularization of the book and the submission of excellent results in the database, so as to achieve the "Anhui Volume".

After carefully listening to the evaluation opinions of the experts attending the meeting, Academician Changyin Buddha pointed out that the Anhui Volume, as a part of the national volume, must be compiled into a book in strict accordance with the top-level design ideas of the Ministry of Natural Resources, harmoniously and organically integrated with the national volume, and at the same time fully reflect the geological and mineral characteristics of Anhui.

The experts of the review committee agreed that "Anhui Volume", as a chronicle of Anhui Province that comprehensively introduces the whole picture of the province's mineral resources and regional metallogenic laws, has many innovations in the theoretical research of regional metallogenic laws. After public publication, it will provide advanced scientific theoretical support for geological prospecting in the area and provide scientific and detailed reference materials for government departments to make decisions on mineral resources. Experts attending the meeting gave the achievements of the chronicle and the series of maps all "excellent" results.

It is reported that the "Anhui Volume" was edited by Professor Du Jianguo of the Geological Survey Institute of Anhui Province, and it took 6 years to compile on the basis of materials provided by 24 geological exploration units and 116 experts in the province. The book consists of 3 volumes, 7 chapters and 23 chapters, about 2.18 million words, with mineral geological maps and metallogenic regularities. It is the 9th provincial mineral geology book completed in the national volume and the 90th part of the series of "Chinese Mineral Geology". (Institute of Geological Survey, Wu Libin, Wu Yan)
