Manufacturing

What leaves the bench

Woven, finished, measured, made and pressed under one roof

Our Manufacturing Capabilities

With over 15 years of experience in fabric curtain production, Terravia operates a modern 45,000 m2 facility with more than 300 skilled workers and a monthly capacity of 150,000 curtain units.

Production Lines

  • Fabric weaving and dyeing: in-house weaving and color dyeing of blackout, thermal and sheer fabrics.
  • Cutting and sewing: computerized cutting and lock-stitch sewing for consistent panel sizes.
  • Finishing: grommet, pinch pleat and rod pocket processing for multiple hanging styles.
  • Final assembly: six assembly lines with inline light-blocking and dimension checks.

Quality Control

Every order passes 100% pre-shipment inspection covering fabric weight, color fastness, light-blocking rate and dimension tolerance.

The families above run on the same lines and to the same release routine, whether the order is one room or a hotel floor.

Three lines

Weaving, finishing and making up run as separate lines

Splitting them keeps the finishing recipe honest: what is woven on one line is tested on another, and the making-up line works to the tested result.

Weaving

Triple-weave blackout, dense dim-out and open voile, woven to the construction on the approved sample.

Finishing

Washing, heat-set, flame-retardant treatment and the lining that goes with it, each with its own record.

Making up

Cutting, hemming, pleating, heading and pressing to the window schedule, then labelled room by room.

Verification

What we check, and what you can check

Test reports are held against the fabric family and the finishing. Ask for the copy that matches the batch you are buying and it will name the batch.

Light reduction Measured on the finished build-up, lining included, so the figure we quote is the figure you get on the window.
Dimensional stability Wash and heat-set trials confirm the shrinkage allowance we build into the cut length.
Flame retardancy Treatment and report held together, with the wash cycles the treatment is rated for written on the statement.
Colour consistency The approved standard is kept against your account and re-checked at the start of every batch.
