UKCA instead of CE for Great Britain

Tables placed on the market in England, Scotland and Wales are marked UKCA and supported by a UK Declaration of Conformity. The assessment mirrors the European route — electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility and, where moving parts are present, machinery — but the applicable designated standards and the declaration wording follow the British framework. Northern Ireland continues to accept CE marking under the current arrangements.

Who signs the declaration

The UK declaration is signed by the manufacturer and names the United Kingdom responsible person where one is appointed. It lists the model or series, the designated standards applied and the place and date of issue. We hold the technical file and can release it to the responsible person or to a market surveillance authority.

Labelling and product marking

The UKCA mark is applied to the rating label together with the manufacturer name and address, the model reference, the electrical rating, the serial or batch number and the UK responsible person's details where applicable. Artwork is prepared by our design team and submitted for your approval before the labels are printed, so the wording on the carton and on the machine matches.

Ordering and change control

Tell us the destination and the appointment of a responsible person at order confirmation. If a model is already CE marked for the European ｕｎｉｏｎ, the UKCA assessment is largely a documentation exercise on the same technical file, which keeps the schedule short. Any change to the blower, power supply or cabinet structure is reviewed against the declaration before it is released to production.
